Hindhu Inheritance

This is the 3rd Time I am watching the entire Mahabharatha series by BR Chopra. This time I discuss about basic rules of inheritance in the Hindhu culture. It has been a traditional hindhu rule that the eldest son succeeds the King to his throne. Dhritharashtra, being the eldest son inherits the throne. The throne however is given to the younger son Pandu, on the basis that dhirtharashtra, being blind would not be able to rule the empire. Pandu, however is kinda jaundiced as well. Pandu dies at an early age. Dhritharashtra rules the empire upon his death. Now duryodhana, being the son of dhritharashtra has rights over inheritance of the empire. He is not Blind like his father and doesn't need to forfeit the throne to his cousin. Why should he leave his throne for yudhistira.

Some variation of the rules are still in force today, like u will definitely inherit your fathers property, if the property was given to your father through inheritence of your grandfather's property, you'll definitely have a share in it(what we cal pithrarjitha aasthi). Where as if the property was earned by your father, u cannot claim rights over it, your father has the freedom to do whatever he wants with it. This being known, Duryodhan irightfully inherits the throne from dhritharashtra.

People argue that yudhistira was elder than duryodhana and hence he should get the throne. Now the rules aren’t clear whether the throne propagates through the eldest son of the clan always, or whether it goes to the eldest son of a generation.

As stated above, due to the ambiguity in the law of inheritance, we don't know whether to pick along the top branches of the tree or to pick the one with higher age in a particular level. In this case, Yudhistira has age greater than duryodhana. With ambiguity it isn't right to call the fight between the cousins as dharma yudhha where dharma is fighting adharma. Besides, Pandu's sons, all of them are sons of kunti,madhari and some other gods i.e they have not actually inherited the genes of the kuru vamsha.

One more important thing to be noted is that history is always written by victors and they would definately not portray themselves as the bad guys. The Mahabharatha written by Great-grandson of Arjuna. The story would definitely be pro pandava propaganda. This is so effective that even after thousands of years, we haven't questioned or analyzed the story. We give it a mad religious level devotion and making it taboo to ask questions against it.

I was general bitching about the world with C the other day and this is what came up. She told me that there are rules for defence equipment manufacturers in sweden. I paste this rule from wiki
'' Enligt vapenexportlagen så får man inte exportera krigsmateriel till länder som är i krig, har en risk för att hamna i krig eller till ett land som bryter mot de mänskliga rättigheterna ''

It means that an arms company cannot export arms to countries in war or have chances of getting into a war or there is humanrights violations there. Ok fine.

I dont know much about the bofors scandel, neither does she. Ofcourse we were small kids back then. All i know is we got looted in the bofors scandel and it lead to the fall of Rajiv gandhis government in the next election.

Some more facts

In the 1980s, India wanted to buy the heavy artillery. Olof Palme(swedish Stadsminister) had personally raised the matter in talks with then Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi. From the Swedish state had also set up with credit support, and with guaranteed support, ie. that the order would be completed even if India would end up in an armed conflict.

Ok after that Olaf palme died. we didn't get the guns and Bofors AB was accused of accepting bribe for illegal export of arms from swedish media. hmmmm....
These assholes put in all kinds of world peace logic when it comes to arms deals with non white countries.
They sell weapons to US which ,kills in iraq .They show that they are kind people by taking in iraqi assylum seekers(i dont know how they tolerate the iraqis). Kinda hypocrites i must say.

Most baffling thing is a country that sells fighter planes such as the Jas Grippen, Bofors Guns and missiles and stuff gives away a peace Nobel peace prize. Shaa***.

I will add a swedish model of functioning to joke i heard in laughter challenge.

There are two people fighting for a Mango ,how to solve this problem?

Indian way: cut the mango and divide it equally.
Pakistani way: shoot one guy and give the mango to the other.
Amerikan way: kill both of them and eat the mango .
Swedish way: give them both weapons and they kill each other and then eat the unclaimed mango. (So that you are not the bad guy).

They have been cunning pussies this in the past too. Supplying ammunition and steel to the nazis when the nazis were winning and switching sides to the allies when the germans started loosing.

So much for the acclaimed svenska modellen(Swedish socio democratic model).
Well by the end of the fika, C admitted that Swedens policies are not totally correct. atleast she did.i am happy.

boxing

It all started when i first came to sweden and was totally bored. I started watching some videos on youtube about rocky training montage.

I geared up totally and went and climbed a small hill close to my room when it was snowing heavily. I did it all alone .but didnt have the josh to do it more.

I had heard of this boxing sessions at gerdahallen ,but had never got the enthusiam to try it out. It so happened that S wanted to try it and had no partner. S is thin,blonde and looks soft, i thought thats good so i woudn't end up feeling bad of being knocked out by a girl.

This boxing isn't as easy as i thought. Its more tiring to hold a board and recieve the punches than to make them. As the session went on S didn't seem soft at all, from thin to muscular who wacks hard punches ,kept up the pace for longer than i expected. It was time for push ups, U have to do one push up clap the hand of ur partner and continue with push up clap hand and so on. I have never done more than 15 normal push ups at a strech in my life. ). We start , my arms begin to ache i push myself harder ,i push myself to a point i cannot take it anymore, just when i am about to quit she says"lets stop,i am tired". abhaade just saved.

Now ,the kicking and punching. one time when i was holding the board and recieving kicks on it, a kick misses the board and hits the side of my ribs, it doesn't pain immediatly but later on it starts, but i cant stop i keep recieving(constantly saying s**** marayya in my mind). and then its over.

In the end i now feel refreshed, i want to do it more, but i am leaving to nammooru soon and there isn't a session before that. S***** marayya. seriously s***** marayya.

Abhimanyu :The warrior

I have been watching Mahaabhaaratha recently. This series takes you back to the good old doordarshan days when this was the only good thing on TV.

I had recorded may episodes on videotape .I  post this particular episode in which Abhimanyu gets killed.

Dronacharya(the warchief of the enemy camp) has shifted to a new attack strategy called ''Chakravyuha''(it has some sought of arrangement of soldiers in circles). This Chakravyuha is supposidly known that only arjuna could break it.(But that guy was busy chasing some chuthiya warriors whom he had sworn to kill that day).

Now Yudhistir(Leader of the good guys) comes to know about the Chakravyuha attack stance of the enemy. He is worried, Just then Abhimanyu steps up to the challenge like a true warrior, Abhimanyu had learnt how to break(break i mean entering the main warriors on chariots stationed in the centre of the Chakravyuha thru the soldiers on foot) the Chakravyuha when he was in his mothers womb by listening to some ppl discuss about the stratagies to break it.But sadly his mom falls a sleep and he cannot listen how to come out of a chakravyuha. Yudhistir says we will help you out and that they ll follow him inside the chakravyuha.

But, Jayadhratha(has immortality for that day due to some reason) stops the rest of pandavas. Only Abhimanyu enters the Chakravyuha. There kicks ass in one on one confrontations with all warriors. Duryodhan(bad guys leader) is pissed and orders an all out attack on abhimanyu(breaking the rules of war of 1v1 combat). Poor abhimanyu questions Dronacharya about this, he fails to realize that the ultimate rule of war is ''All is fair in war''. He fights on till death.
 

This was the best episode , I was sad but still.

KICK ASS GIRL

Recently US power tool maker Black & Decker has received a hammering from a Swedish advertising watchdog for an advert described as "degrading" to women.

The Black & Decker ad earlier this year promised customers a "pleased wife guarantee", offering beauty treatments worth 350 kronor to the wives of men who bought spent more than 1,500 kronor on its tools.

"Through this text, the council finds that (the company) conveyed an outdated view of gender roles in which women are expected to be placated with beauty treatments while men buy tools".

Women are doing a lot off kick ass stuff now days. The one that most impressed me is being the lead Girl in a Game called Resident Evil. The lead girl in this Alice played by Milla Jovovich. She is so damm hot . She has been voted in as the hottest character in the Video games. This babe is not only hot but kicks ass too. There has also been a Resident evil movie trilogy. Just have a look below where she kicks ass of zombies .

some fundaes

i had been to ericsson dinner yesterday. This dinner was given by ericson AB to students where they get to interact with staff of ericsson to know about the company. To my surprise there were only 3 students from this hardware related field. It was nice to meet the pretty HR staff .

I came to know about some quiet interesting fundae about the swedish names. Martin,The son of eric will have a name of Martin ericson. Anna,the daughter to stravold,will have a name as Anna Stravoldsdotter.Carrying the sirname of dotter has died out about 100 years ago and very few still carry that sirname. To change the surname for girls after marriage is optional. It applies to guys too(yeah !!some change to their wife's surname)

I also met a beautifull belarusian girl . She told me there was a square in her hometown (Minsk,also the capital of belarus)named after bangalore. Its called bangalore square. There also a sqaure known as Minsk square in bangalore. So we were connected in some way. She didn't know why this was there,so do I.
Anybody know please tell me the details about this naming there exists between these two cities.
